COSDA-UPC - COmpositional and Spatial Data Analysis

Development and application of appropriate techniques for treating spatial and compositional data. The particular nature of the spatial and compositional data requires specific methods and statistical techniques. In theoretical research work from the spread of distributions themselves to the development of structural and generalized linear models. The main balance sheet and grouping methods are specific tools to reduce the size, which applied once the data has been preprocessed with treatment techniques such securities on the border of the sample space. This set of methods used in studies in other fields of knowledge, from which arise the challenges that stimulate the progress of the research. Research activities are completed actions for the training of new researchers, transfer and dissemination; among which we highlight: CoDaPack own statistical package, CoDaCourse during the international workshop CoDaWork and the Internet domain CoDaWeb.
