GNOM - Group of Numerical Optimization and Modelling

The group's work includes optimization mathematical modeling problems solved with optimization and application techniques appropriate to engineering problems, logistics and data science. The mathematical optimization includes the study of the properties of the problems studied, analysis of new optimization methods (linear and nonlinear continuous whole and combinatorics, deterministic and stochastic), the development of efficient computational implementations of these methods, and comparison with other previous methods, if any. The part of modeling involves the search for appropriate formulations that allow solving real problems, often of great size, with integer variables and / or with or without binary and stochasticity. The real problems in the group are currently working in the fields of logistics, data science, supply chain and energy.

Expertise: Operations Research, Optimization, Mathematical Programming, Modeling Mathematical Programming, Electricity Generation, Protection statistics
